The majority of our clients come to us for deer management advice. That’s because we have been so successful in producing quality deer herds in areas where it was once thought impossible. We don’t accept the old philosophy of “You can’t grow good deer in this area”.

We use a total year round program to provide food plots, large amounts of native browse, cover and water. We identify areas that are lacking these components and design a management program with an emphasis on increasing the carrying capacity of your entire property. Increasing the carrying capacity of your property not only improves the quality of your deer herd, but will also allow you to harvest more deer.

High quality food plots are the cornerstone of most deer management programs and we are proud to say that ours are second to none. We have more than 27 years of farming and food plot experience, during which we have planted, fertilized and applied herbicides to more than 10,000 acres of food plots and agricultural fields. Our vast experience means we know the best components for your area and soil types. This allows us to design food plots that will maximize production while staying within your food plot budget. Be sure and check out the updated pictures of some of our food plots in the photo gallery.

Camera surveys are one of the best tools for determining deer densities, age structure, buck to doe ratios and fawn recruitment. They can also be used to determine mature bucks to be harvested. Knowing the bucks on your property before the season begins also gives you the incentive to stay in the stand a little longer because that trophy you have on film might appear at any time.

We provide you with harvest data sheets that will help us and you to determine next year’s harvest recommendations. Based on this data, along with fawn recruitment numbers and a habitat survey, we can better determine the number of deer you need to remove each season. This gives you the confidence of knowing each time you or one of your hunters pulls the trigger you are helping to manage your deer herd.

One of the most overlooked management tools is implementing a hunting plan that reduces hunting pressure. Producing a mature buck is one goal, but harvesting him is another. We have many years of successful experience in outsmarting wise old bucks and the pictures to prove it. We use the overall size and layout of your property to help you design a hunting strategy that allows you to minimize pressure and keep mature bucks on your property.
