There are very few management services these days with the quail management experience we have at Southeastern Wildlife Habitat Services. This is largely due to the fact that wild quail numbers have declined in the past 30 years to a level where most hunters have given up the dream of hunting this grand game bird. Fortunately, we have the experience in quail management that can help you to realize this dream. We have 20 years of experience managing both large plantations and small properties for wild and early released quail. Whether you are managing strictly for wild birds or want to implement an early release program to supplement your wild bird population, we have the knowledge and hands on experience to accomplish both. Our experience includes more than 225,000 acres of early release quail programs as well as the design, construction and day to day management of many thousands of acres of quail courses. This work has resulted in the harvest of more than 55,000 wild and early released quail. We will design a plan for your property that includes timber management, prescribed burns and management recommendations for increasing the quality of nesting, brood rearing and escape cover. Our trapping and predator removal experience will allow us to show you nest predator removal methods that do not require large amounts of labor or expense. We can also show you the tricks of the trade for anchoring early released birds and producing released bird programs that mimic those of wild bird hunting.
